1920s Wrought Iron Art Deco Chandelier With Beeswax Candles

This gorgeous, top-quality lighting fixture was fabricated in the manner of the French iron craftsmen we so respect; I'd say the chances are 99% that it was made in La Belle France, the 1% remaining only because I bought it in the USA. It originally had five wooden electrified faux candles about the same size as the beeswax candles you see in the photos, but one was missing and several were damaged, so I discarded them and pulled out all the decrepit wiring and cleaned and waxed the metal; now it's "like new," with a delicious deep patina. It could, of course, be electrified if desired, but it would take a lot of work by someone other than myself!   Another option would be the use of "electric candles," which are identical in appearance to these beeswax candles, but are battery-powered and flicker in the manner of candles in a slight breeze. They're quite realistic!  The final option would be to have your an electrician or antique dealer wire it for electric use.  Not rocket science.
